{"id":5754,"date":"2026-05-22T15:13:31","date_gmt":"2026-05-22T08:13:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/global.stou.ac.th\/?p=5754"},"modified":"2026-05-22T15:13:31","modified_gmt":"2026-05-22T08:13:31","slug":"469","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pedantic-wozniak.14-207-142-6.plesk.page\/?p=5754","title":{"rendered":"STOU, TCU, and TPQI sign MOU to Advance Lifelong Learning and Workforce Development in Thailand"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU) has joined forces with the Thai Cyber University Project (TCU), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), and the Thailand Professional Qualification Institute (TPQI) to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at strengthening Thailand\u2019s lifelong learning ecosystem and connecting education with the workforce to sustainably develop national competencies under the concept <strong>\u201cSTOU FOR ALL.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 20 May 2026, STOU organized the MOU signing ceremony under the theme <strong>\u201cSTOU FOR ALL: Connecting Education, Careers, and the Future.\u201d<\/strong> The initiative seeks to integrate educational opportunities with workforce development and create a more accessible, continuous learning system for people of all ages. Prof. Dr. Taweewat Watthanakuljaroen, President of STOU; Prof. Dr. Jintavee Khaisang, Director of TCU Project; and Ms. Jullada Meejul, Director General of TPQI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The collaboration focuses on several key objectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Promoting <strong>lifelong learning<\/strong> by expanding equal access to knowledge and educational opportunities for learners of all ages.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Developing systems for <strong>credit transfer and recognition of work experience<\/strong>, including the Credit Bank and Competency Credit Bank frameworks, enabling learning achievements and professional experiences to be formally recognized.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advancing <strong>research, educational innovation, digital technology, and artificial intelligence (AI)<\/strong> to build future-ready learning systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pedantic-wozniak.14-207-142-6.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/47006.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"5761\" src=\"https:\/\/pedantic-wozniak.14-207-142-6.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/47006.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5761\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pedantic-wozniak.14-207-142-6.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/47007.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"5762\" src=\"https:\/\/pedantic-wozniak.14-207-142-6.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/47007.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5762\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the signing ceremony, the event featured an academic forum where executives from STOU, Thai MOOC, and TPQI exchanged perspectives on strengthening lifelong learning policies and workforce competency development under the concept <strong>\u201cOne Worker, One Learning Opportunity.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pedantic-wozniak.14-207-142-6.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/47008.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pedantic-wozniak.14-207-142-6.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/47008.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5763\" style=\"width:640px\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Assoc. Prof. Dr. Taweewat Watthanakuljaroen stated that <strong>\u201cSTOU FOR ALL promotes lifelong learning for students, learners, and the general public by connecting educational pathways across institutions through the Credit Bank system, enabling learners to accumulate credits toward academic and professional qualifications, ultimately leading to a degree from STOU.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pedantic-wozniak.14-207-142-6.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/47009.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pedantic-wozniak.14-207-142-6.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/47009.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5764\" style=\"width:640px\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prof. Dr. Jintavee Khaisang emphasized TCU\u2019s role as a bridge between institutions and government services, with STOU serving as a key driving force in developing learning programs that effectively respond to learners\u2019 needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pedantic-wozniak.14-207-142-6.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/47010.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pedantic-wozniak.14-207-142-6.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/47010.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5765\" style=\"width:640px\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, Ms. Jullada Meejul highlighted the importance of competency measurement for working-age populations, noting that professional qualifications can help connect workforce experience with education pathways and create tangible opportunities for career and skill advancement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants also visited STOU\u2019s online examination management system at the university\u2019s 80th Anniversary Commemoration Building. The system integrates modern technology and artificial intelligence (AI) with institutional expertise to enhance the quality and security of online assessments, improve evaluation processes for distance and online learning programs, and reduce opportunities for academic misconduct. Through the <strong>STOU FOR ALL<\/strong> initiative, STOU continues to expand educational opportunities while supporting professional development across its 12 academic schools.
