On Thursday, 20 June 2024, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gan Chanyawudhiwan, Acting Vice-President for Academic Services, Cultural Preservation, and International Affairs, delivered the donated cosmetics, paper bags and medical supplies to the concerned organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Mrs. Tidarat Tedsana, Deputy Director for Nursing, represented Panyananthaphikkhu Chonprathan Medical Center in receiving the donated items. The cosmetics would be used for mortuary makeup and paper bags would be handed out to the patients to carry medicines home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

STOU also delivered old calendars to Ms. Chanidapa Petcharak, Director of the Foundation for
the Blind in Thailand Under the Royal Patronage of H.M. The Queen. These old calendars will be made into Braille desk calendars and passed on to visually impaired people to use in the following year. Ms. Chanidapa Petcharak took this opportunity to encourage administrators, staff, students, and alumni of STOU to donate funds to support the Braille books project including the production and distribution of \u201cEasy Happiness at the Tip of Your Nose\u201d (in Braille) and bilingual Aesop’s fables such as \u201cThe Tortoise and the Hare\u201d (in Braille). These books will be distributed to schools for the blind students in the project across several provinces nationwide. Additionally, the funds will support the purchase of continuous paper for producing Braille textbooks and novels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
