Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU) has been ranked 638th<\/sup> in the world on a sustainable universities list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Started in 2021, the UI GreenMetric is an initiative of Universitas Indonesia that ranks universities throughout the world based on their commitment and actions towards sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

In 2021, UI GreenMetric themed \u201cUniversities, UI GreenMetric and SDGs in the Time of Pandemic,\u201d focusing on universities\u2019 efforts to continue their sustainability programs and policies based on UI GreenMetric and SDGs while coping with the Covid-19 pandemic. This year, 956 universities from 80 countries participated in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings. Participants completed an online questionnaire with six categories: setting and infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste, water, transportation and education. With a total of 4,800 out of 10,000 points, STOU has been ranked 638th<\/sup> in the world, and 32nd in Thailand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

STOU has put sustainability in among one of the five missions in the STOU Plan for Excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
